It was raining with zero visibility when we get to Chocolate Hills last March 23. An hour and a half is worth the wait to see the beauty of the famous Chocolate Hills in Bohol. This is a major Bohol landmark and we just could let this pass.

Practice makes perfect
They say practice makes perfect... I have my Canon 300D for more or less 4 years now but I don't really shoot. It's main purpose is to take good photos of my kids. Last week, I joined Citi Camera Club Ferry to Old Manila Photoshoot. We took the Pasig Ferry from Guadalupe station down to Mexico Station in Intramuros.
Thanks to Photoshop. I was able to take good pictures, I think! Here's my take for Quezon Bridge in Quiapo...

Behind Bars
The hospital building looks dilapidated. Almost next to an abandoned building. Then we entered a basketball court full of hospital beds and I couldn't help but wonder, why here?
I felt my heart as if it stopped beating as I entered the Pediatric Ward of the Philippine Orthopedic Hospital. The patients looked as if they are behind bars. I can see the sadness in each child's eyes being locked up in beds, no freedom to run, explore and be carefree. Some of the patients have been there for three weeks already, others for only few days.
So we started with the program, introduced the Little Ambassadors for Christ. A group of young children singing for Christ, spreading joy to everyone. The patients enjoyed, some who are on their wheelchair managed to go in front to get a better view.
Here are the pictures during the TGSUMC Young Adult Fellowship and Little Ambassadors for Christ joint hospital ministry at the Philippine Orthopedic Center

Dinos Alive World Tour
Happy Birthday Bujoi!
Bujoi turned five last January 15. With a very limited budget, we made him choose how he wanted to celebrate his birthday few
weeks before his birthday. Here are his options:
a) Fun ranch celebration with selected friends
b) Birthday party in his school
c) Dinos Alive World Tour with a party celebration at home with our neighbor/friends
Long before his birthday, he saw the Red Ribbon ad along EDSA and everytime we pass the ad, he'd always say he wanted to have Ben 10 for his birthday cake.

Playing with the Waves

This is Tondol Beachfront. We have to walk around 25 meters from the shoreline to catch these waves.

SandCastles
Here's some more of Joie's holiday pictures.
Kids just love playing in the sand. And it's good that the kids can enjoy the sand everytime we take our vacation at Tondol, Anda, Pangasinan. The beach is nice. May not be as white but it has finer sands than that of Boracay's.

Some Holiday Pictures
Joie had a homework on the first day of class for this year - bring pictures of activities done during the holidays. Ish patiently selected from hundreds of photos, cropped and edited them. Liked how they turned out. I told him he was able to finish an album in one sitting.
It's becoming a tradition to watch the COD Christmas show at the Greenhills shopping center. We had a joint celebration for FILs birthday and Ivan and Liza's baby shower. We headed to Greenhills right after dinner.

We spent Christmas at Tondol, Anda Pangasinan. Kids are already excited to open their gifts early Christmas morn. In the afternoon is a family tradition to have games and prizes for the relatives within the neighborhood.

After the kids opened their gifts, we headed to the beach for some fun. Kids had a blast building sandcastles.

Wanna be

I have always been drawn to art - music, painting, drawing, writing - but art never finds its way through me... until i discovered photography. Now I have a medium to express my love for art. With the lens as my canvass, i can paint the beauty of God's creation, my children's pretty smiles and glowing eyes; all the things that surround me and everything i wanted captured and framed.
Photo courtesy of my idol and friend alan borras 1/2007
I really admire those who are very passionate about this hobby and has an eye for art. Me, I am just too lazy to bring my camera and shoot. And if ever I brought my camera, I am not so trigger happy.
And normally, I do not post my pictures online. I just don't think they are worth sharing. And just yesterday, some friends were asking for my shots. And I just have to give in.
Here are some of my wanna be attempts:
These pictures were taken using point and shoot camera.. Too bad I did not bring my SLR camera on my trip to Shanghai.

Doesn't really look like I have what it takes to be one.
